COURSE CONTENT:

This course is designed to inform the participant in the rudimentary legal basis for all three topics. A lack of understanding and insight can have negative effects on productivity, working relationships and undermine effective services being provided to those served. This workshop is designed to provide the participant with the skills to uphold a high standard of ethics, so paramount in law enforcement, reduce violence in the workplace and to reduce the incidents of sexual harassment.

The goal of this course is to train participants about ethics, workplace violence and sexual harassment.

The skills addressed will include, but not be limited to, will be the following:

·         Understanding principles of ethics

·         Identification of the various categories of ethics, morals, and values

·         Understanding classic ethical dilemmas and how to address them

·         Identify traits of a violent worker

·         Understanding the three categories of workplace violence

~Identify workplace violence before it is lethal

~Identify a worker that has high potential for violence

·         Development of a plan to reduce workplace violence

·         Understand the laws that govern sexual harassment

·         Investigating sexual harassment complaints
