C o u r s e P u r p o s e: On a Daily basis, officers need to safely control non-combative suspects, or gain control of combative suspects, all while causing minimal injury. Almost 95 percent of all altercations end up on the ground at some point and training will prepare officers for situations that end up on the ground. Through lecture, hands on demonstrations & practice, students will develop the proper understanding of handcuffing & Subject Control Tactics.

o Techniques of Handcuffing (Standing, Kneeling, and Prone)

o Highly Agitated Subject Group Handcuffing
o Search of Subjects while Handcuffed
o “Iron Wristlock Takedown”
Subject Control
o Escorts (Cuffed/Not Cuffed)- cooperative and uncooperative
o Distraction Techniques for uncooperative
o Subject Removal without Handcuffing
Takedown to Handcuffing-
o Side Arm Curl Takedown
o Straight Arm Lockout Takedown
o Inside Takedown
