ICS 300 - Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents

This course has been approved by ILETSB to meet the following mandates:

Procedural Justice 8.5 Hours

COURSE content_ This course provides training on and resources for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). The target audience includes all individuals who may assume a supervisory role in expanding incidents. This course expands upon information covered in ICS 100 and 200 courses. (Both are prerequisites for ICS 300.) This course is required for those jurisdictions that choose to comply with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) ensuring they continue receiving their federal preparedness funding grants. We are recommending that jurisdictions identify middle management who will be acting in the role of incident commander or section chief during an event and enroll them in this course. PREREQUISITES: NIMS ICS 700 ICS 800 ICS100 ICS 200 (copy of Certificates required at registration) Each student must successfully complete the IS 100 Introduction to Incident Command and IS 200 ICS for Single Resources and Initial Action Incidents (independent study courses listed on the FEMA website http://www.training.fema.gov/EMIWeb/IS/crslist.asp) or Unified Command. Unified Command is instructor lead and provides tabletop exercises, allowing students to apply concepts presented in class. Completion certificates for these courses must accompany the student application.
