COURSE CONTENT: This course is designed to teach the constitutional and legal aspects of the Use of Force in a Rapid Deployment/Immediate Action environment and practice the techniques and tactics specific for dealing with active shooters.
It will involve scenario based decision making, some involving the use of simunitions. This method stresses the swift and immediate deployment of law enforcement resources to an ongoing, life-threatening, “active shooter” type situation. Use of force and safety priorities - Equipment and identification requirements -Response to explosive devices - Verbal skills -Safe firearms handling skills in team dynamics
