4 hr. Tactical Team Training-Mt. Carroll-FULL

COURSE CONTENT:

This training has been developed for members of a Tactical Response Team. This training uses various scenario based situations, to cause team members to make immediate deadly force decisions, while under pressure. Officers will work as a group as they practice the various skills necessary to make lawful decisions, avoid injury to officers and survive deadly encounters.

Block 1: (Shoot house)

Target recognition, shoot/ don’t shoot

o   Utilizing various targets that compel the officer to decide whether the target is a threat or no threat.

Room clearing, groups of 2 or 3

o   Officers will clear rooms with shoot or don’t shoot targets present.

Block 2: (MacTac)

Vehicle bailouts:

o   officers will react to fire while seated in a vehicle. Officers will have to tactically move from the vehicles to positions of cover using bounding and overwatch principles

L-Shaped ambushes:

o   officers will react to gunfire while on foot patrol as a small unit, they will be graded on using cover to achieve a tactical advantage on the source of gunfire

Uniforms and Equipment: OD green BDU, plate carrier, helmet, weapons systems, and ammunition, shoot/don’t shoot targets, target stands and vehicles.
