This course is in compliance with the Sexual Assault Incident Procedure Act, Public Act 099-0801. The Act is a multi-disciplinary approach to developing best practices in law enforcement, prosecution, hospitals and crime labs for handling sexual assault investigations and prosecutions.

COURSE CONTENT:

This course will provide investigators who assist victims of sexual assault with the necessary components to conduct a victim centered investigation.  We will cover areas including proper response, law, trauma, the necessary tools for interviews and evidence collection.   Case based scenarios will be used to provide the framework for the application of this procedure.

 

In order to attend this course, Investigators must have already completed prior ILETSB board-certified training in Sexual Assault Trauma-Informed Response.
