 The Legislative Update for Law Enforcement Officers will consist of an analysis of all of the recent legislative enactments that deal directly with the Law Enforcement Community.   This presentation will closely analyze the recent massive changes enacted by the Legislature including:  the Police and Community Relations Improvement Act; the Uniform Crime Reporting Act; the Law Enforcement Officer-Worn Body Camera Act; the new Commission on Police Professionalism; the new Officer professional conduct database; the new Mandatory minimum in-service training requirements; the amended Traffic and pedestrian stop statistical study requirements; the new anti-chokehold provisions plus many more changes.  The Topics covered by this Presentation include, but are not limited to, the following:  New Offenses; Criminal Law Amendments; Criminal Procedure Law Changes; Corrections Law Changes; Drugs and Alcohol Amendments; Firearms Amendments; Sex Offenses and Offenders Amendments; Children and Juvenile Law Amendments; Victims’ Rights and Consumer Fraud Changes; Domestic Violence Changes; Vehicle Code Changes; County Law Changes; Changes that create new Acts and more.
