Both New and Recertifying Students will complete the same Online Course and need to attend TWO-days of practical training.

Description

With the release of Version 21, TASER has reformatted the Instructor course to teach students how to develop and safely execute scenarios and isolation drills, provide more in-depth scenario training, and Virtual Reality training. Students will learn how to develop and safely implement scenarios; Isolation drills and conduct teach backs to hone their Instructor skills. This online and practical day course will certify you to instruct others on the use of one or more of the X26P, X2 and TASER 7 Conducted Energy Weapons. The online portion is a prerequisite to attend the practical schedule day.

TASER Instructors can certify law enforcement/correctional personnel as Certified Users.

SPECIAL REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS Apply for this Class

REGISTRATION- If the appropriate online component is not completed prior to July 9, 2019 the registrant will not be allowed into the class.

STEP 1: MTU1 agencies must first register for this class on the MTU1 website's registration system at www.mtu1.com. MTU1 agencies should not register via the MTU4 website.

STEP 2: MTU1 agencies must also register on the AXON (TASER) Academy—Choose Invoice and forward the invoice to MTU1.   https://academy.axon.com/events/evt_u3hs60La3uTWO2NU/view/ MTU1 will only pay for MTU1 members who have also registered via our registration page prior to the class. Any MTU1 agency that only registers directly with AXON may have to pay the tuition directly to AXON with no reimbursement from MTU1.

STEP 3: Online Component / Each registrant must complete the appropriate online component that is required by AXON (Taser) during the 21 days prior to class. The online component for this class begins Thursday, June 20, 2019 12:00 AM CDT /Online Completion Required by Date: Monday, July 8, 2019 8:00 AM CDT * NO EXCEPTIONS will be made once online course has closed *

Dress is casual, no uniforms needed.

Taser supplies all Tasers and the cartridges.

Class attendees should bring their own duty gear and any holsters you or your agency uses NO FIREARMS, AMMO, OR WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM.
