1st Hour
7-1 Use of force in defense of person.
7-2 Use of force in defense of dwelling.
7-3 Use of force in defense of other property.
7-4 Use of force by an aggressor.
2nd Hour
7-5 Peace officer's use of force in making arrest.
7-5.5 Prohibited use of force by a peace officer.
3rd Hour
7-6 Private person's use of force in making arrest.
7-8 Force likely to cause death or great bodily harm.
7-9 Use of force to prevent escape.
7-15 Duty to render aid.
7-16 Duty to intervene.
4th Hour
Reasonable Use of Force - (Federal and Illinois)
Excessive Use of Force - (Constitutional and Statutory)
5th Hour
Protection of the United States Constitution (4th and 8th Amendments)
Due Process (14th Amendment)
Search Warrants (725 ILCS 5/108-1 etc.)
Investigative (Terry) Stops. (725 ILCS 5/107-14). Temporary questioning without arrest.
6th Hour
Ethical Issues (Law Enforcement Certification/Decertification)
Civil Liability (Qualified Immunity - Federal and Illinois)
