Annual Body Camera Reports are due May 1

2/28/2019 5:43:00 PM

Pursuant to 50 ILCS 706/10-25 of the Law Enforcement Officer-Worn Body Camera Act, each law enforcement agency that utilizes body worn cameras must provide a report to the I.L.E.T.S.B. by May 1 of each year.

The report must include:

  1. Number of cameras in use
  2. Number of officers who have used body worn cameras
  3. Any technical issues encountered with the use of such cameras
  4. The review process used by supervisors.
  5. For each instance in which a body camera was used in a prosecution, the agency must indicate the date, time, location, offense and charging date.

In an effort to simplify the collection of this data, I.L.E.T.S.B. requests that this data be provided on the chart linked HERE. Completed reports for the 2018 calendar year, including the accompanying chart, can be emailed to Mrs. Jennifer Wooldridge at jennifer.wooldridge@illinois.gov
