COURSE CONTENT: This presentation will feature a discussion of the problems that arise concerning the collection of evidence, the creation of report writing, and application of trial testimony.  Included will be discussions of the most recent legislation and case law dealing with these topics. 

The criminal process will be examined from its beginning to its end with special explanations concerning the importance of accurate and profession evidence collection, report writing, and trial testimony. 

Specific topics to be discussed will be “chain of custody,” expert testimony, motions to suppress or exclude evidence, the preservation and destruction of evidence, the creation and use evidence and trial depositions, subpoena practice, and numerous other related topics. 

Demonstrations and examples of problem areas of evidence collection, report writing, and trial testimony will be offered.  Discussions will be offered concerning how to professionally deal with these problem areas in the 21st Century.
