Registration - How To
There are two places you can start from when registering Officers
#1 The “Registration Form” page shows a listing of all classes. Here you can search for a class, or scroll down to see the list
#2 You have selected a class after viewing it on the “Calendar”
Distant Learning classes
If you are registering for a distant learning class, you must access the registration option via the training calendar (not the registration form page). That will allow you to first select which Distant learning classroom the officer(s) are attending. If you have multiple officers attending different locations they must be entered in groups by location.
STEPS TO COMPLETE A REGISTRATION
A. STOP! If you have more than one person to register, you MUST CHANGE the number of students, BEFORE clicking on the “Register” button. If you fail to do this, you will be asked for department information for each and every officer being registered. Select the register button when the displayed number is correct.
B. Enter each officer’s name & information then select “Add Student”. This will reset “Step 1” so the next officer’s name can be added, all the way up to the total number entered at the beginning.
Do not click on the Register now” button until after all of your officer’s names have been entered using the “Add Student” button. Although an officer’s email address is not a mandatory field, it is helpful so they can be contacted in the event of a change in class status.
C. After you have entered the number of names indicated at the start of the process, you will be prompted to enter the Department information.
D. Select the “Register now” button when this is done.
E. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from MTU1 when the registration is logged and confirmed.
NOTE: An officer's Police Training Board (PTB) number is needed for enrollment. We understand ISP/ civilian staff will not have this number. Officers/personnel without a PTB number should enter (4) zeros and then the last four digits of their Social security number.
