It will cover court decisions restricting use of a TASER so officers can avoid excessive use of force issues.  There will be a control tactics review in conjunction with the training to cover Basic holds, Take downs, a Review of cuffing techniques, working with the taser to include cuffing “under power”, along with scenarios.

Scenarios will allow officers to choose what level of force is reasonable within Illinois/Federal law controlling the Use of the TASER and dealing with situations when the TASER was not effective.
