PURPOSE OF COURSE: This one day, 8-hour program has been designed by the Southwestern MTU along with an expert practitioner from the field of evidence collection, to introduce evidence thechnicians to various blood evidence identifications and processing techniques. 

COURSE OVERVIEW: This program will provide attendees with a detailed explanation of the most up-to-date, scientifically sound methonds for identifying, documenting and collecting bloodstain evidence encountered by law enforcement crime scene service units.

Topics to be addressed include:

           -Safety precautions to be taken when working with bloodstain evidence

           -Identifying bloodstains evidence

           -Photographing bloodstain evidence

           -Chemical enhancement of bloodstain evidence

           -Collecting bloodstain evidence

COURSE GOLAS: The primary goal of this workshop is to give the attendees a solid understanding of the value of bloodstain evidence as it relates to crime scene processing. It will give them a basic understading of bloodstain evidence is and will include advanced methonds for interpreting and prcessing such evidence.

Lead Homicide Investigator - 8 Hours
