Certification as a factory-trained GLOCK Armorer for a 3-year period with the opportunity to purchase the otherwise 'restricted' parts from GLOCK, Inc. To successfully complete this class, students must: Pass a written exam with a minimum score of 80% correct and demonstrate some physical aptitude in the practical exercise while maintaining a safe environment. 

The purpose of this class is to acquaint students with the various models of GLOCK handguns and how to properly maintain, service & repair those firearms. Students will be given all necessary class materials and tools along with a GLOCK Pistol. 

The instructor will give directions and demonstrate how to unload, load, field strip, detail strip, clean, lubricate, troubleshoot and replace parts. The instructor will make suggestions about setting up a proper firearms maintenance plan and respond to any questions the students may submit. Students must bring safety glasses, and a small flashlight GLOCK furnishes all necessary manuals, tools, class firearms, computer and projector.

Chad McIntyre joins Glock after his retirement from a 27-year career as a police officer. Chad began his law enforcement journey as a Deputy in Cass County Missouri Sheriff's Office before joining the Springfield Missouri Police Department in 1996. Early in his career, Chad served as a Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, Motor Officer and Accident Reconstructionist. In 2004, he earned a position on Springfield Police Department's Special Response Team (SRT). During his assignment to SRT Chad was assigned as an Operator, Explosive Breacher and Sniper. Chad eventually promoted and held the ranks of Corporal, Sergeant and Commander while being assigned to SRT. Upon being promoted to Lieutenant, he was also commander of two uniform patrol squads, SRT and the K9 unit. Chad also served as an Instructor with the Heartland Tactical Association and with the Kansas City Metro Tactical Officers Association. In 2020, he was named the Commander of the Springfield Police Training Unit and Director of the Springfield Police Academy. Chad retired in September of 2021 and was honored with the Springfield Police Department's Lifetime Achievement Award.
