This Course is designed for In-Service Training Purpose

PURPOSE OF COURSE:  This two-day training module will assist the uniform first responders in conducting a thorough initial investigation into all types of death investigations. This training module is also structured so that uniform officers and supervisors, who conduct
follow-up investigations will receive additional information that will aid them in the performance of their job.

COURSE DESCRIPTION:  Classroom Lecture and group exercises.
GOALS:  The Goals of the Course are as follows
A. Introduction to Death Investigation
B. Identifying Postmortem Body Changes
C. Securing the Scene
D. Natural Death Investigation
E. Suicide Investigation
F. Non-Vehicular Accidental Deaths
G. Officer Involved Shootings and Other in Custody Deaths
H. Miranda and Other Initial Problems on Death Scenes
