This course will assist/inform/update Detectives and Patrol Officers in the criminal procedure laws as they pertain to criminal investigations. The course examines procedural law, substantive law, case law, and photographic crime scene studies. Actual documented case studies are used to illustrate the current state of our laws.
This course has been certified by the ILETSB and approved to meet the following mandates:
- Lead Homicide Investigator - 8.0 hours
- Const. Use of LE Authority - 2.0 hours
- Legal Updates - 4.0 hours
- Civil Rights – 2.0 hours
