This is a chance for new officers to become certified instructors on the TASER X26, X2, or X-26P. TASER Instructors can certify law enforcement/correctional personnel as Certified Users. The 8 hours with the Master Instructor will focus on practical application and device manipulation skills

STEP 1: MTU1 agencies must first register for this class on the MTU1 website's registration system at www.mtu1.com. MTU1 agencies should not register via the MTU4 website.
STEP 2: After reciving a confirmation email from MTU1, the officer must also register on the AXON (TASER) Academy—MTU1 will only pay for MTU1 members who have also registered via our registration page prior to the class. Any MTU1 agency that only registers directly with AXON will have to pay the tuition directly to AXON, there is no reimbursement available from MTU1.

New instructors need to create a new account (https://academy.axon.io/registration/? next=/terms/#register). All department contact information needs to be entered, to include badge numbers, etc
The Instructor re-certification course is August 4, 2017 see the training calender for information/regsitration
Dress is casual, no uniforms needed.
Taser supplies all Tasers and the cartridges.
Class attendees should bring their own duty gear and any holsters you or your agency uses NO FIREARMS, AMMO, OR WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED IN THE CLASSROOM.
