Important Announcement-Mandated Training Records10/3/2017 4:27:00 PM
In regards to agencies being able to view their mandated training information on LEDI.
The ILETSB staff have the information transfer system ready, but are waiting to roll it out around the 1st of the year (2018). This is for two reasons:
- Most officers are not compliant because the mandates just started. The mandates went into effect January 1, 2016 and due to a wait on a governor’s commission, ILETSB was not able to adopt guidelines until September 2016, so practically speaking, we are just over a year into the tracking.
- We do not have the data from Executive Institute which would needlesly make officers look bad. The Executive Institute’s data will be merged into LETM by the end of December 2017.
After the roll out, agencies will be able to view an officer's compliance on “LEDI”, so you do not have a need for a seperate spreadsheet.
NOTE- Other than the annual legal Update & Use of Force: Decision Making mandates, officers generally have until January 1, 2019 to be compliant in the other categories
The FREE MTU1 Digest of Mandatory Police Training & Administrative requirements in Illinois is located under the training tab. You can view it there, or download a PDF copy. It explains the various deadlines in detail.
