Purpose of Course: This training has been designed with the purpose of addressing the issues related to better understanding the behaviors and values of the millennium police officers.

Course Description: There has been a great deal of information written about multiple generations serving in police departments today. Each has its unique differences, and members of each generation think and behave differently. Each was shaped by common experiences, defining moments, history, demographics, economics and culture. Millenniums will be the largest of the generations in the past century.  Their numbers will top 80 million people, making them a group that will fill the bulk of police positions in the future. Police departments need to have a working understanding of how to interact with and supervise the new generation of law enforcement officers.  Maintaining the police workforce level is one of the most pressing challenges facing law enforcement today. Therefore, the training and supervision of this generation needs to be as unique and progressive as they are while maintaining traditional police values.
