COURSE CONTENT: This presentation will feature an analysis of the most recent changes Illinois Juvenile Justice Law concerning the Expungement and/or sealing of documents pertaining to Juveniles in the possession of Law Enforcement Agencies.
Included will be an overview of the current Illinois Juvenile Court Act with respect to Arrests, Interrogations, Chargeable Offenses, Sentencing and Maintenance of Records concerning Juveniles. The latest legislative amendments concerning Juvenile Justice will be listed and analyzed.
Topics will also include changes in adult prosecutions for minors; sex offender registration changes for minors; and changes in the age requirements for minors to be treated as juveniles. Additionally, the latest case law concerning Juvenile Justice will be listed and analyzed.
